Everyone was so impressed with the lights --just like Tavern on the Green. I was also surprised and so pleased as none of that was up the afternoon before--somebody was working very hard and we had the pleasure of it. The lunch itself got rave reviews--the sandwiches were especially delicious and they’re not many scraps of leftovers. The service was kind and efficient and very warmly friendly. I think your efforts have earned Mill Street some additional business and certainly reinforced your good reputation. I and the TC club members appreciate all you and your employees did to ensure a lovely Christmas gathering. - Anne Avery We dined with you last night and I can honestly say was better than the first time I had dinner with you right after you opened in 92. Don`t get me wrong, that night was wonderful and special too. In fact every meal with you over the years has been special. I live further away now, but when I`m in Staunton, there`s no place I`d rather be. You are, without a doubt, one of my favorite restaurants of all time. I mean that in a global sense, I`ve done a good bit of traveling in my time, and you guys make my top ten list. Probably one of the best meals on our 18 night trip to Virginia.The Staff were lovely and helpful and I would definatly recommend this place for others visiting the area. The complimentary hot bread and icecream at the end of the meal was a lovely surprise. Well worth visiting ,from the outside you have no idea of how busy it is inside and the extent of the menu. - Pipc Excellent! - Sep 25, 2010 This place is fantastic! We went before seeing a show at Black Friar`s and it`s so convenient. The food was amazing. I had honey-bourbon salmon with amazing garlic mashed potatoes. My boyfriend had the ribs. The salads and bread were good and they even brought peppermint ice cream at the end! Also, one of the best Arnold Palmers I`ve ever had! The service was friendly and prompt and seemed to anticipate everything we needed. I only wish I lived closer so I could go back! - Bayly Fantastic gluten free menu - Aug 30, 2010 Like many others, my wife and I were passing through Staunton and saw the wonderful reviews of Mill Street Grill. We couldn`t have been more impressed with the service, the food quality, and the outstanding gluten free options. Our server was completely familiar with what was required for gluten free food, which is not common at most restaurants. The decor, ambiance, friendly service and special touches were terrific. Two years ago we were lucky to pick dining at the Mill Street Grill and have not had as good a meal of ribs since! When we decided to go away again for our 37th anniversary we chose to return to Staunton and to this wonderful restaurant. Tonight our wonderful server was Kelly. He was attentive to our needs and answered any questions we asked. He made our meal even more memorable. Another couple arrived next to us and asked about the Mill`s St Louis ribs and I was very glad to tell them how perfectly prepared mine were. We love traveling to Staunton and we will always dine at Mill Street. Thank You Kelly and Mill Street for another anniversary dinner to rave about!! The quality of both the service and the food was superb! The bartenders and the servers catered to us so well that we were able to enjoy the night and each other.
